It feels like yesterday we experienced that breathlessness. The water around us dampened every noise; the silence we experienced never before. It felt like the heart was beating in the head and had to pop the eardrums often to get rid of the building pressure inside. A tiny sunken rusty boat on the sandy bed, the colorful schooling fishes, a thick beam of sunlight through the water like some science experiment, and few unseen whirling weird creatures were all a kind of new world experience. We just wanted to swim around in that weightlessness but there was this cautious brain that wanted to get some fresh air. The boat above us was like a guardian angel, never wanted to lose sight of it.
I was worried that she would drown but I had equal chances. I have had nightmares that I’m drowning in water and my mom reminds me often that I don’t get along well with water (according to my horoscope). But it seemed like I was not afraid.
New experiences are what keeps us going, isn’t it? Experiencing something which wasn’t felt before, triggers a kind of joy that stays long. Scuba Diving gave us a new experience. Until next time we will cherish it and also remember the blocked nose!
